Second at Congress
Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 9:20AM I had the opportunity to sit down with Chef David Bull in Austin, Tx and talk about restaurant Second at Congress. It quickly became apparent that Chef David loved what he is doing. It definitely translates through his food. Here are the photos from that day.


In hand: Beef short rib pizza with burrata cheese, carmalized onions, and roasted garlic
And yes, that is a belt buckle with two cougars fighting on it.

Buffalo fried pickles with gorgonzola and Bull's hot sauce

Compressed watermelon and arugula salad with roasted beets, gorgonzola, and pistachios

Blistered shishito peppers with miso aioli This is fun to eat with friends because every once in awhile there will be a hot one. Kinda like Russian roulette with peppers.

Pizza bianco - ricotta, garlic butter, wild arugula, and grana padano

Vertical rotisserie chicken breast with grilled corn "panzanella" and citrus chicken jus

Blt club with smoked tomato jam, avocado, dijonnaise, and tobacco onions
