Culinary Central was a three day culinary event that took place at the 2011 New Olreans Home and Garden Show. I had the pleasure of working with producers of the event Susan and Jyl from Kitchen and Culture and Louisiana Cookin Magazine. Over the three days we shot 15 cooking segments. You can find all the videos and receipts at the Kitchen and Culture website.
TECH STUFF: I videoed the cooking demos then quickly photographed the chef plated final dish. It was a whirl wind few day, but everything went well. The photos were shot using a Nikon D700 and Nikon 105mm f/2.8 lens on a white seamless paper backdrop. I lit it with a Nikon Speedlight inside a large lastolite ez-box and had white cards for fill. The video was shot on two Canon XH-A1s and cut in Sony Vegas Pro 8.
